ASAPSummary:The Clinical Research Informatician will serve as a liaison between clinicians, researchers, and data specialists, helping develop and implement data solutions that enhance patient care and clinical research. This position requires expertise in clinical workflows, informatics, and healthcare data systems, with a focus on advancing healthcare through the integration of IT solutions.Core Responsibilities:Collaborate:

Act as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and technical teams to align IT solutions with healthcare needs.Data Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain healthcare applications, datasets, and algorithms.Workflow Optimization:

Analyze and enhance clinical workflows to improve efficiency and patient outcomes through IT interventions.Technology Implementation:

Lead efforts to introduce new technologies in clinical settings and ensure smooth adoption.Healthcare Data Curation:

Organize and document healthcare data within a data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.Reporting and Analysis:

Generate reports and insights from clinical data using tools like SQL and Python.Training and Communication:

Facilitate training sessions with clinical stakeholders and software vendors to ensure optimized product use.Required Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, or a related clinical field (e.g., Nursing) with certification in Health InformaticsMaster's degree preferredExperience:Minimum 2 years of experience in:Clinical researchClinical informaticsIT and/or academic healthcare settingsExperience with clinical operations, health information management, or care managementExpertise in clinical standards, coding, ontologies, and taxonomiesFamiliarity with clinical KPIs and healthcare data systemsTechnical Skills:Proficiency with SQL and Python (or similar coding languages)Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and WordAbility to generate reports, analyze data, and identify discrepanciesPreferred Experience:Familiarity with healthcare software vendors and IT service providersExperience liaising between clinical and technical teams to align solutionsProven ability to integrate and optimize clinical workflowsOnboarding Requirements:USC will manage all onboarding processes for direct hires, including:Background Check:
