As a Life Product Support Analyst, you will ensure products and pricing recommendations meet implementation objectives, including
design, coding and testing administrative platforms, illustration tools and other support tools. You will also:Assist with product implementation process on FBL administrative systems.Ensure compliance with laws and regulations by drafting appropriate policy process requirements as well as implementing accurate administrative calculations and illustration projections, rates and values.Contribute to administrative efforts by inputting system tables and specifications, assisting in developing administrative rules and procedures, and handling complex situations.Assist with new business and enforce product implementation process on FBL illustration systems. Contribute to marketing efforts by responding to special agent requests, providing input and advice on marketing services and education services, and helping to maintain accurate rate books and reference manuals.Prepare monthly life and annuity product reports and conduct conversion studies for use in setting pricing assumptions. Assist in the completion of industry surveys and serve as a resource to produce ad-hoc reports as needed.Actively participate in basic implementations of competitive products by documenting and defining administrative requirements, testing values, participating in implementation teams, recommending new processes and revisions to/automation of current processes.Respond to and resolve basic special/manual customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff and other FBL personnel at all times.What It Takes to Join Our Team:Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, computer science, finance, or related field/equivalent experience required. 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred.Desire to pursue LOMA exam process preferred.Excellent Excel / VBA skills are required.Basic understanding of life insurance and annuity product knowledge preferred.Experience in a life product development or implementation setting preferred.Be able to work in a project based environment, while being collaborative and team focused.Have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable sharing information in a group setting.Strong analytical skills and ability to solve non-routine and complex problems required.Have coding and complex math skills.Exposure to life illustration and/or administrative systems is a plus.Superior prioritization and organizational skills required.Strong oral and written communication skills.Must work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.What We Offer You:
