Your Opportunity as Department ManagerLocation: Arkadelphia, AR bakeryWork Arrangements: 100% Onsite Reports To: Operations Manager In this role you will: Responsible for leading a production department to support the Hostess business (Sweet Baked Snacks), which includes all processing and packing operations for a combination of production linesDevelop capability and leadership characteristics in Area Leaders, Supervisors, Wrapper Technicians and OperatorsResponsible for meeting Product Supply, Quality, Safety, Reliability, and Cost targets for assigned production operationsWork with all plant functions, including departments and work system pillar owners, to ensure all production needs are metLead and teach complete understanding of overall plant product flow including all inputs and outputsAlign production strategy and schedules to maximize production efficiencies and labor schedule stabilityManage and leverage relationships with R&D and the Technical Services OrganizationIdentify and eliminate operations losses; Lead in solving issues to root cause and implement improvementsParticipate in direction and execution of capital budget/projects to improve Operations measures in the areas of capacity growth, production efficiencies, Quality, and SafetySet plant direction by contributing to the Plant Leadership team and supporting vision and plans for future work systemsAdminister any necessary disciplineSupport and foster our Company Culture through role modeling our Basic beliefs and Our Commitment to Each OtherExecutes effective communication to all levels of the organizationThe Right Place for YouWe are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.
