Business Intelligence Analyst Co-Op
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst Co-Op within the Mentor Irving, TX site of Johnson & Johnson. The individual will play a key role in our digital transformation journey by applying data technologies particularly in data analytics, visualization and science. This position will reside in the Mentor Irving, TX location.
At the core of our business strategy is the value of reliable, real-time data - “the great equalizer” - and insights that come out of the data using advanced analytics & visualization. Our ability to leverage more accessible data to drive speed and agility in our supply chain will give us an advantage in driving improvement initiatives within the site and sustaining key metric performance. Accelerated adoption of more real-time analytics within the site’s operational workflow is required to achieve our goals. As a Business Intelligence Analyst Co-Op, you will be responsible for partnering with the local Business Intelligence Analyst and other key site personnel to identify opportunities for improving data analytics and visualization to drive site performance improvements. You will work with a variety of functions within the site (i.e. operations, quality, engineering, IT, business excellence, etc...).
Key Responsibilities:
Frame problems to be solved analytically and own deliverables.
Collaborates with technology and business end users to understand information (data and analysis) requirements and develop them further.
Partner with development and data management roles to identify and capture data required from internal and external sources.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and pipelines.
Use data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, decision making and analysis.
Translate data into information and insights – with clear scenario analysis and business impact – and execution plan to drive impact.•Develop sustainable digital solutions that can be reused with minimal effort and provide a comprehensive documentation and training for users.
Continue to improve the process and methodology for analytics and modeling for such solutions – building capability within the organization.
Perform statistical modeling and analysis of structured and unstructured data sets to develop metrics, reports and visualizations of trends and patterns.
Creates and maintains statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data
Qualifications
Studying in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Informatics or related fields.
Knowledge of data visualization, databases, simulation / digital twin & other related areas.
Proficiency in SQL; desired proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience using data visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI)
Knowledge of general supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing systems preferred.
Curiosity and high energy level required to proactively engage with business partners.
Ability to quickly learn new technology, processes and operate in an independent environment is essential.
Self-starter with a can-do attitude to engage in hands-on fast prototyping.
