Quality Technician

SUMMARY
Uses precision tools, fixtures and measuring equipment to perform evaluations, testing and inspections of materials, finished goods/products and documentation.
Responsibilities Plan and perform a wide variety of duties to prescribe, set up and evaluate testing and inspection of raw material, in-process and finished goods. Operates electrical and mechanical inspection equipment including Instron Tensile Testers, comparators, environmental chambers, comparators, TDR, microscopes, Kokour plating tester, micrometer, calipers, tape measures, depth gages, ball gages and levels. Interpret output data to determine pass or fail results, test reports and records, and organizes test results for final inspection. Perform tests and inspections in accordance with MIL, customer, and ASTM standards as specified. Perform tests and inspections in presence of and interfaces with military, customer and auditor. Computes results of specific tests, using mathematical formulas. Performs other duties as assigned and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Reports any problems or difficulties to the supervisor and obeys safety rules. Has trained to all assigned skill competencies and has signed off on all SEC procedures associated with this position. *Other duties may be assigned. *

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Proficient with data acquisition hardware and software preferred. Performs all tasks in a safe and efficient manner to protect oneself, others, products, materials, and other company assets from harm. Operates with a high degree of integrity in the performance of duties to foster good working relationships, develop a spirit of teamwork, and accomplish job goals. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
Travel
Travel requirements are minimal and would be less than 10% of the job responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 1+ year manufacturing and/or quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Use of office software tools including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Teams. Has a basic understanding of database applications and potential solutions. Ability to plan and complete a variety of project types. Capability to plan and manage a personal schedule. Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment while maintaining a positive team environment. Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
