A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Project Finance Lawyer to join their team. The role involves handling complex project finance transactions and providing legal expertise in drafting and negotiating financing agreements. Duties: Draft and negotiate principal financing documentation for project finance transactions. Provide legal counsel on project finance matters, including structuring, due diligence, and risk assessment. Review and analyze project documentation to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks. Collaborate with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful project financing. Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory developments affecting project finance transactions. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC. 5-8 years of experience in project finance law, preferably within a law firm setting. Proven track record in drafting and negotiating financing agreements and related documents. Strong understanding of financial and commercial aspects of project finance transactions. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with renewable energy, infrastructure, or public-private partnership projects is a plus. Familiarity with tax equity financing structures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Certifications: Certification in Project Finance Law (optional).
