Job Summary

The Material Handler position is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, moving, and shipping our materials and supplies with care to ensure that our cabinets can be created with quality in mind.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the CARE values of the organization.Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.Assists in receiving material, equipment, and supplies delivered on purchase orders.Loads and unloads trucks containing material, supplies, and equipment.Moves material to proper location or work area.Follows company policies and procedures as it relates to material functions.Wraps, packs, and prepares products for movement and/or shipment.Performs periodic inventory and stock control on a limited basis.Maintains a clean safe working environment.Adheres to all applicable safety rules and regulations.Operate forklift and pallet jack to transport and store materials.Other duties as assigned.Requirements

Qualifications

Working Relationship

Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates, and production floor workers. The Material Handler works under the immediate supervision of the Department Supervisor.

PPE

Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while in the production floor. Other PPE may be required.

Non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such paints, stains and solvents; machinery, conveyors, spray-booths and drying racks.
