We are searching for an energetic, self-motivated, kind, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented person to join our growing specialty dental practice as an orthodontic assistant.At Union, we strive to provide the best orthodontic and pediatric dental care for the patients and families in our community. At our offices, both our orthodontist and pediatric dentist are board-certified.This career opportunity has a great weekly schedule, with full-time employment inside a four-day workweek, performance bonus, retirement plan, training, paid time off, paid sick leave, dental benefits, and more!Responsibilities•Review treatment notes prior to greeting patients to ensure being ready for each patient's appointment•Greet patients and build confidence with them during their appointment•Assist our doctor during procedures•Work autonomously to provide orthodontic care to patients with both braces and Invisalign•Communicate and ensure patient comfort at each appointment•Take appropriate X-rays as needed•Utilize our 3D intra-oral scanner•After appointment is complete, introduce patient to front team for them to help with scheduling their next appointment•Complete accurate treatment notes for each patient seen•Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use•Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use•Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during appointment•Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients' teeth and gums, after procedures•Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records•Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team during procedures or examinationsQualifications•Have an amazing attitude•Provide exceptional care•Strong customer service and communication skills•Be energetic and goal-focused•Be organized and have the discipline to multitask•Be a team player•Be punctual•Able to work 4 days per week•Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential
