What will you do?

Supporting IT equipment in large corporate environmentDesktop/laptop tech support (Mac and PC)Windows 7/10 operating systemsSupport mobile devices, printers, scanners, wireless, VPN, etc.IMAC Support - IT equipment Install/Move/Add/ChangeMaintain repairs, spare parts, and componentsResearch and troubleshoot problemsMaintain system configurations and documentationTrack and resolve customer incidents and requests through the client's ticketing toolTroubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows devicesBackup, restoration, and migration of user dataSmart Hands support with networking, server, and telecommunications technologiesPrinter and peripheral device supportInventory management of IT assets including asset auditingAbility to research and follow appropriate KB articlesAbility to work on-call and other after-hours support needsMay provide Executive supportVarious other tasks associated with deskside servicesMay need to be available to provide support at other client locations as neededOther duties as assignedDesired Characteristics

Role

We are recruiting a Senior Deskside Technician for our customer's Manufacturing & Engineering department, to solve customer complex on-site IT issues, at our customer's premises in St. Charles, Louisiana. You would work for one of the largest chemical producers in the world, being responsible for providing the local IT support for all on-site employees and you will work along a team of skilled and motivated technicians!

Job Responsibilities of Local IT Technician•Provide hardware support for:•Rugged / ATEX compliant tablets & smartphones•DMA (Direct Memory Access) hardware•RFID / Barcoding / Scanning•Wearables (e.g. Google Glass)•Wireless connectivity•Field Cameras/CCTV•Kiosks•Correctly track incidents and calls timely and accurately using Service Now for Incident and Problem Management•Support of key engineering applications at use within the business•Manage and maintain Hardware assets including ordering of equipment when stock levels require it;•Carrying out disposals of IT assets when required and carrying out quarterly Inventory Management
