As a Global leading spices and flavours organisation with Globally recognised brands for the past 130+ years, the 14,000-employee company have a huge reputation for employee welfare, promotion and flexibility.This commitment is reflected in the flexibility for this position, which seeks an experienced Procurement professional who is well-versed in Traded Commodities, understanding price fluctuations and looking for a challenge which matches their ambition and critical thinking ability.Situated in a picturesque community at their Global Headquarters just north of the city of Baltimore, you will be responsible for assigned categories and the development of category programs to rationalize the supply base, optimize costs and drive strategy execution activity to support both direct and indirect spend.As a Category Manager for Cocoa & Traded Commodities, your role responsibilities will include:Manage global procurement for assigned categories. Spearhead negotiations for procured goods and services to ensure optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) considering Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Innovation. Formulate and execute strategies to achieve the lowest overall cost while mitigating corporate risk. Develop and document comprehensive knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. Aid in make-or-buy decisions. Deliver formal presentations and coordinate & conduct supplier assessments.Engage in the planning and forecasting process to determine standard costs and provide explanations for price variations at the Division level.Ensure high customer satisfaction by supporting the needs of Divisional projects and offering Purchasing guidance & leadership.Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.These qualifications are essential:Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Over 7 years of experience in a Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with relevant business expertise (experience in Traded Commodities Procurement).More than 4 years of project management experience, including the execution or involvement in large, multiple, or cross-functional projects.Experience in project management/process improvement.At least 3 years of experience managing and developing dynamic teams.Demonstrated experience and success in major cost-saving initiatives.Supervisory experience is a must.Extensive knowledge of industries related to the assigned categories.Technical proficiency in assigned categories.Familiarity with food products and business knowledge.Systems capabilities to maximize supplier performance and negotiation leverage.Ability to manage diverse and/or conflicting priorities.Strong communication and diplomacy skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Global market-leading organisation on their journey to grow their new and existing brands even further.
