Job Overview:
A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with extensive experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will supervise associates, work closely with clients, and assist in developing case strategy.Duties:Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.Supervise and mentor associates working on litigation matters.Work with experts in various fields to develop case theories and strategies.Assist development and preparation for depositions.Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and legal memoranda.Help develop comprehensive case strategies that align with client objectives.Requirements:Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.Experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is advantageous.Strong analytical and writing skills, with attention to detail.Demonstrated good business judgment and organizational skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others.Management skills to supervise and mentor junior associates.Education and Certifications:JD degree from an accredited law school.Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.Additional qualifications such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree are desirable.Admission to practice law in New York and California (CA) is required.Skills:Proficiency in legal research methodologies and tools.Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships internally and with clients.Adherence to firm policies and practices.Capability to engage in both physical and sedentary activities as necessary for the role.Job Location:Benefits offered:The firm provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
