Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience.
ABOUT US:
Our client is a full-service, tier one supplier to the automotive industry, specializing in the design and production of injection molded and electrical equipment, accessories, and electronic components. Our Ohio facility houses injection molded components and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in our Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Maintaining production values and ensuring adherence to customer quality standards by investigating, analyzing and resolving Production and/or New Model Development quality problems.
Using basic quality information gathering and statistical techniques, conduct product audits, analyze defect trends and lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
Investigating internal quality issues on production quality, processes and equipment.
Act as a communication liaison between internal and external groups regarding quality issues.
Ensuring consistency by establishing, maintaining, and tracking quality standards.
Preparing FMEAs to assure that all potential failure modes are properly addressed.
Participating in process audits to address any specific issues such as production mold modifications and changes, deviation from quality standards, or for timely audits of the respective quality system.
Addressing customer and internal product concerns by documenting and communicating problem tracking activities as well as monthly performance reports to track the performance of the respective production area.
Analyzing monthly performance reports and processing data to identify areas of improvement and develop the necessary improvement plans.
Coordinating with the appropriate department to confirm packaging trials meet quality standards.
Training and mentoring new engineers in a hands-on environment.
Engineer III may also have subordinate responsibilities.
