Job Description

Ichthys Energy is currently seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to join the team in Dallas, TX as the Vice President of Reservoir Engineering. This role will serve as a critical member of the team, focused on maximizing value through the evaluation, acquisition and development of high-quality Permian Basin assets.

Job Responsibilities:Perform technical and economic evaluations of acquisition targets, asset optimization transactions (i.e. trades / swaps, farm-in proposals, etc), and producing propertiesEngage in strategic decision-making processes as a leader within the companyEvaluate asset potential and forecast well productivity and reservoir performance using decline curve analysis, pressure and rate transient analysis, etc.Lead asset planning and development efforts to support operations over time and optimize future developmentExperience managing a team of reservoir engineers as company executes on growth strategyMust be self-motivated and able to work individually as well as within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team environment

Job Requirements:~10+ years of experience as an asset development and/or BD reservoir engineerPermian Basin experience requiredB.S. in Petroleum Engineering requiredAbility to work across disciplines (i.e. geology, land, operations, finance) to perform efficient economic evaluations, asset development, and corporate planningAbility to manage several time-sensitive projects simultaneously, while maintaining technical standardsExcellent presentation and communication skills; ability to develop clear and concise technical presentations with the ability to effectively present the material internally and externallyCurrently live in, or have the ability to relocate to Dallas, TX
