We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in a VP or higher role, with a proven ability to revitalize and expand HR teams. This individual will oversee all HR functions within the company, including general HR management, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, employee training, corporate team development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The VP of HR will also have a strong background in cultural development and experience in a compliance officer-type role. Given our national footprint, understanding the varying employee regulations and labor laws across different states is crucial. With a strong growth mindset, this leader will play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitious goal to double our workforce by 2025 while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:•Lead and manage all HR functions, including but not limited to general HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, corporate training, and retention strategies.•Develop and implement comprehensive employee training programs and corporate team development initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals.•Design and drive DEI initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture.•Rebuild and expand HR teams, ensuring they are equipped to meet the company’s evolving needs as we scale.•Work autonomously and creatively, developing innovative learning materials and HR solutions that inspire and engage our workforce.•Serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO/President, contributing to high-level decision-making and long-term planning.•Oversee cultural development initiatives, ensuring that our organizational culture aligns with our mission and values.•Manage compliance-related HR functions, ensuring adherence to labor laws, industry regulations, and internal policies across various states.•Collaborate with senior leadership to create HR policies and practices that support the company’s growth and operational excellence.•Navigate and manage the complexities of state-specific employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance across our national organization.•Manage and mentor the HR team, fostering professional growth and development.•Champion a growth mindset across the organization, encouraging continuous improvement and out-of-the-box thinking.•Experience in transitioning an organization from a PEO (Professional Employer Organization) to managing all HR functions in-house.
Qualifications:•Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a VP or higher role leading all areas of HR.•Proven track record of revitalizing and expanding HR teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.•Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and healthcare industry regulations, with a particular focus on understanding state-specific employment rules.•Experience in cultural development, compliance, and serving as a strategic business partner to executive leadership.•Previous experience with M&A processes including rebadging employees, assimilation of cultures, and assisting with the corporate merging process.•Experience hiring, building, and developing an internal recruiting organization.•Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.•Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, develop learning materials, and inspire others with innovative ideas.•Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
