We are looking for experience in mechatronics (mechanical-electrical-software machine/fixture design), electromechanical fixture design, and motion control and NX. This experience is most important.

Job Description:Broad ownership of hardware design and manufacturing of systems, fixtures and prototypes in support of product development and validation teams.Design mechatronics and electromechanical fixtures/systems for internal system validation testing of consumer wearable devicesDevelop specifications and project plans to execute designs by working closely with product designers and/or cross functional teams to incorporate all requirements into specifications.Act as both team lead and individual contributor to conduct detailed design work, create 3D models, drawings and drive design reviews.

Technical Requirements:Fluent in NX and advanced surfacing techniquesProven experience designing high precision mechanisms and electromechanical assemblies and systemsExpertise in various manufacturing techniques such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, forging, die casting etc.Understanding of tolerances and tolerance analysis as it relates to fixture design and implementationStrong understanding of product life cycle management (especially early stage development and production and launch)

Minimum Qualification:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experiencePrevious team lead experienceFluent with Siemens NX for CADStrong written and oral communication skills, the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.Experience in technical documentation and report generation.Expected to write technical reports and present at technical reviews.

Desirable Skills and CharacteristicsPast experience in making production drawings for consumer electronics in NXSkilled in reading and interpreting electric, electronic, and mechanical drawings and schematics.Ability to quickly make tradeoff decisions to drive progress based on engineering fundamentals.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.Experience in designing 3d plastic and metal parts for various manufacturing techniques.Mass production experienceAble to work under tight time constraints to meet schedules and manufacturing deadlines.Flexible with ability to work in a dynamic and rapid-paced workplace with minimal supervision.Data analysis and visualization experience (matlab, python, JMP)Familiarity with project and process planning techniques such as DFSS, V-Models, Gannt charts, or other similar tools.
