What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.Role OverviewCome lead the development of cutting-edge distributed cooperative robotics. We’re looking for creative thinkers to help solve for extremely ambitious goals. You’ll get an opportunity to work on electro-mechanical systems in close collaboration with the electrical and software teams. Our team is focused on fast iteration and learning, so you’ll have the opportunity to have your designs built quickly, test them, and take those test results to design improvements.Example ProjectsCreate novel electro-mechanical mechanisms and systems for a mobile robotics platform and validate them using rapid prototyping fabrication methods.Build, debug and support prototype robots.Support robot deployments at customer sites as required.Redesign robotic systems for volume manufacturing, focusing on reliability and cost optimization.The Ideal CandidateDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics with 5 years of industry experience.Experience designing and debugging electromechanical systems.Proficiency in designing parts and assemblies using 3D modeling software. FEA experience an asset. (Catia or SOLIDWORKS preferred)Experience drafting engineering drawings, conducting tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T a bonus.Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.Experience with embedded and edge devices, programming, industrial engineering, electrical system selection and design a plus.Hands on experience with 3D printing, prototype manufacturing and assembly.A Final NoteYou’re encouraged to apply even if you can’t take on every example project in its totality.
