Electrical Engineer
This exciting role will be responsible for developing and designing inertial navigation systems and GPS products. A solid understanding of sensor design, programming microprocessors, and test engineering will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Snoqualmie, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance MEMS inertial sensors used for various applications in the automotive and aerospace/defense industries. Responsibilities:Use expertise in inertial navigation systems to drive R&D efforts and new product introduction projects in alignment with strategic plans.Creäte concepts, designs, analyses, and test results to make inertial sensor innovations and complete project objectives.Improve technical solutions through expert-level knowledge of first principles, sensor physics, digital signal processing, or system modeling and testing.Support electronic design efforts including analog and CPU-level digital circuit design.Lead project qualification and other test validation initiatives.Develop project plans, perform project management, and apply New Product Introduction procedures for new products.Perform quantitative analysis on inertial performance test data and guide test process, manufacturing, and design improvements.Work closely with senior scientific staff to ensure that the engineering projects and product development theoretical work are maintained for future systems development.Work with and mentor junior engineering staff to ensure effective development of their knowledge and expertise related to inertial systems development and testing.Support troubleshooting of both developmental and production products.Provide technical input for customer support activities.
Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.) is required.5+ years of relevant experience designing inertial sensors, CPU-level electronics, or digital signal processing.5+ years of relevant coding experience with C, C++, MATLAB, or Python is required.Proficient with FEA, 3D CAD, and electrical engineering software such as SolidWorks, LabVIEW, Altium, and OrCAD is required.Solid knowledge of firmware design, electrical controls, PCB/PCA layouts, FPGAs, and microprocessors is desired.Prior experience with highly regulated environments such as Aerospace and defense electronics is highly preferred.
Salary Range:$100,000-140,000+ depending on experience.
