Consultant / Senior Consultant – Commercial Analytics (Los Angeles, California, US)

Brief introduction:If you are keen to do analytical problem solving along with a consultative approach, we have multiple openings in the Commercial Analytics space for working with and being involved in strategic decision making for some of the largest Pharma companies across the globe in.
Designation name & Description:As a Consultant/Senior Consultant in the Commercial Analytics team, you will be expected to lead and manage projects and clients Onshore.You will be responsible for methodology design and help run analysis using a data centric approach. Day-to-day role would involve leveraging patient level data/claims data and generating insights for decision making.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with the team to understand business questions and address specific nuances pertaining to therapeutic indications/market opportunities of interestAnalyze various pharmaceutical/life sciences datasets including but not limited to Claims Dataset, Electronic Medical Records, Anonymous patient-level data, Prescription Data, Sales Data and Promotional dataCommunicate and present the outcomes to Clients and Extended StakeholdersDevelop Client relationships and serve as an Onshore key Point of Contact for the project process automation using SQL/Python/ETL Tools etc.
Qualification and pre-requisites:Undergraduate with a background in Life Sciences or Engineering OR Pharm D/BS/MS Lifesciences, PharmaShould have 4 years or more of Consulting job experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences spaceMust be highly motivated, with good work ethic and must be willing to take personal initiative to get the tasks doneMust possess strong verbal and written communication skillsShould be proficient in the use of MS Excel and PowerPointA Background/working knowledge of oncology therapy area is preferred and would be an advantageAdherence to client specific data privacy and compliance policiesStrong analytical background. Previous background or knowledge of pharmaceutical industry; experience working on pharmaceutical brands is preferredMust possess ability to interpret and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data points and develop hypothesisShould be able to conduct independent desktop-based research for specific disease therapies using various secondary sources (researching assumptions about prevalent/treated population patient types, market segmentation, compliance etc.)
