We are currently seeking an

IT Field Technician

in Brooklyn, NY. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that will require driving to retail sites to perform basic maintenance on POS (Point-of-Sale) equipment.

The

IT Field Technician

is a great opportunity for entry level technicians to gain more hands-on experience. Entry Level Criteria is as follows:Computer literate, with a desire to learn telecommunications and cellular technology, Supermarket, Retail or POS experience is a plus. Willing to travel extensively; work nights or days if needed; flexible with work assignments Valid US driver's license from NJ or NY state, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities:Provide first point of contact for support issuesAnswer a high volume of phone calls, collaborating with customers to resolve KF applications, wireless devices, printer, or computer problems in real timeProcess service tickets/work logs related to KF related problems, train customers our KF applications and various wireless peripheralsElevate complex issues/problems to appropriate team membersPerform scheduled hardware and/or software installations on siteConfigure, Install, and more importantly maintain new or used peripherals, network printers, and POS equipment.Assist customers with desktop applications, maintenance, and troubleshooting Network Equipment KF Software related, remotely using TeamViewer, MS Office, ADC, Windows etc.Install, train, and deploy new applications, ADC application, Scale’s configuration, and Wireless peripherals. (Data collection, Network Validation, and Training/Network Standardization)Telecommunications line installer and repairer, basic data communications troubleshoot, terminate data cable, know how to run data cable if needed (short runs only) and trace a cable to determine if it’s good or not.

Qualifications:Experience or education in the IT field preferred; Bachelor’s degree requiredAbility to handle multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneouslyIn-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practicesProficiency in MS Office applicationsProblem analysis and problem-solvingDecision makingPlanning and organizingInitiativeFlexibilityAbility to tolerate stressMust be capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 30 lbs.Must be fluent in English and SpanishMust have valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation
