Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Attorney with 5-10 years of experience to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in drafting and negotiating Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), with a strong preference for those who have worked in oil field services.
Key Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs and NDAs with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance with applicable regulations.Provide legal advice on various commercial matters, including contract terms and conditions, to ensure the company's interests are protected.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate contract execution and address any related legal concerns.Stay up to date with industry standards, particularly in the oil field services sector, to ensure compliance with best practices.
Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active bar membership in good standing.5-10 years of experience in commercial law, with a strong focus on MSAs, NDAs, and other contractual agreements.Preferably, prior experience in the oil field services sector.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a part-time role (20-30 hours per week).Ideally based in Houston, with the flexibility to come into the office on an as-needed basis.
