The role of Maintenance Engineerwill be responsible for performing a routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the properties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the propertiesRecognize equipment that needs repairs, adjustments, or replacementApply paint using a roller, hand brush, or spray gun on all types of furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, etc.Installs and repairs wallpaper throughout the propertyPatch and prepare all surfaces for paint or wallpaper, including sheetrock patches, and refinishes all types of furniturePerform basic carpentry techniques necessary to maintain furniture and fixture such as tightening, gluing, touching-up finishes, adjusting, aligning, and assembling where necessaryDiagnose defective machines and equipment. Install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand toolsMaintain equipment and logbooksReplace filters throughout properties as neededPossess extensive knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment including kitchen equipment, gas, and steam, electrical and plumbingMove and reset furniture around for repairsPerform basic flooring repairs such as tiles, carpets, ceramic flooring, etc.Daily travel to various locations for installations, repairs, and maintenanceAssist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:High School Diploma PreferredMinimum of five (5) years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer preferably in an industrial complex propertyValid Driver’s License21+ years of ageExperience in operating skyjack, forklift, scissor lift, or other heavy equipmentPossess good working knowledge of HVAC systemsWorking knowledge of repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment, perception, and awareness of the maintenance goals and policies
