Our client is seeking a Windows Server Administrator for backup and storage solutions. You will be part of a high-performing team of administrators responsible for enterprise integrations across a variety of platforms. You will be instrumental in improving the customer / developer experience as it relates to consumption of Windows Server resources, whether via CI / CD pipelines or multi-cloud APIs.
At least three (3+) years of experience as a senior-level Windows System Administrator is required as well as expertise in the relevant technologies: Windows Server, VMware, PowerShell, SCCM, Azure, GCP, Pure Storage, CommVault, NetApp, and Rubrik.
Key Accountabilities:Daily administration of Windows server environmentsDesign, install, and configure windows servers both on-prem, in Azure, or in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Support server OS and application deploymentsSupport and manage enterprise backup solutionsSupport and manage enterprise storage solutionsMaintain best practices and support proceduresAdhere to IBC policy and standards concerning server administrationAdminister and support VMware hypervisorImplement and maintain solutions and technologies that address cybersecurity issuesPerform scheduled and ad hoc control / compliance validationAssess and audit compliance against the security policies and standardsImprove and maintain monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functionsProvide after-hours support for infrastructure weekend maintenance and related emergenciesMaintain inventory and asset configuration documentationInteract with customers, management, and staff on a technical level, as requiredServe as technical expert in Server systems administration and systems managementResponsible for monitoring system performance, network, and storage utilizationProvide support with escalated help desk requests via ServiceNowImprove / update new systems and deployment plansCreate and maintain PowerShell scripts to improve operational efficiencyPerform troubleshooting as needed and assist with problem-solving efforts involving other teams, partners, and outside vendors
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or software engineering, or equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and trainingAt least three (3+) years of working experience as a senior-level Windows System AdministratorUnderstanding of SCCM with advanced knowledge of patch management and OS deploymentExperience and working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active DirectoryProven experience working in highly collaborative environmentsExpert understanding of Windows server trends and best practicesExpertise in securing systems, providing audit evidence, Cluster /HA, and standards implementationExpertise in managing storage solutions for VMware environmentsExpertise in managing enterprise backup solutions
