MAU is hiring a Principal Process/Mechanical Engineer for Fluor Nuclear Power in Greenville, SC.
As a
Principal Process/Mechanical Engineer,
you will lead the planning, design, and construction phases of multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with a focus on process and mechanical engineering systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects, including those in the nuclear sector.
This is a long-term contract opportunity.

Shift Information:Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required15+ years of experience in process/mechanical engineering, with expertise in design, estimation, and project managementStrong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes, including Department of Energy (DOE) Orders
General Requirements:Proficiency with CAD software and other engineering toolsStrong leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding large teams through complex projectsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:Experience in the nuclear industry is highly preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) License preferredFamiliarity with advanced mechanical systems design and equipment specificationsExperience with P&ID development and construction document management
Essential Functions:Lead Project Teams:
Provide technical direction to engineers and coordinate multi-discipline design and construction projects from inception to completionTechnical Expertise:
Oversee P&ID development, mechanical system design, and ensure the accuracy of engineering calculationsCompliance:
Ensure all engineering projects adhere to applicable codes, safety regulations, and best practicesDesign Review:
Conduct thorough reviews of construction documents, making necessary adjustments to meet project specifications
Supervisory Responsibility:This position may supervise:Junior/Senior EngineersCAD DesignersProject Coordinators
Work Environment or Working Conditions:Responsibilities may be performed in a combination of office and on-site environments, depending on project needsMust be comfortable working on construction sites and attending client meetings
Physical Demands:This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:Ability to work at a desk for extended periodsRepetitive motions of hands, wrists, and fingers for data entry and engineering design
Travel:Occasional travel may be required for site visits and client meetings
