MAU is hiring a Senior Process Design Engineer for Fluor Nuclear Power in Greenville, SC.
As a
Senior Process Design Engineer,
you will provide essential administrative support, technical expertise, and leadership. This role oversees a specific area, serving as the engineering discipline's representative to ensure technical accuracy throughout all phases of project execution. As a lead position, you will manage engineering assignments of advanced complexity on assigned projects.
This is a contract, long-term opportunity.

Shift Information:Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant work experience
General Requirements:Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and standards, including Department of Energy regulationsProven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including project management, colleagues, clients, vendors, and subcontractorsComprehensive technical knowledge required to successfully complete job-related tasksAdvanced expertise in discipline-specific codes and standardsAbility to ensure work is compliant with all relevant local, state, and federal laws, codes, and guidelinesStrong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within time constraintsProficient in computer and software applications, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation programsExtensive experience in delivering engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for large-scale industrial projectsSkilled in executing large EPC projects, utilizing engineering analysis, 3D modeling, and 2D computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) tools in a multi-disciplinary environment
Preferred requirements:Professional Engineer LicenseExperience in designing systems, structures, and components for nuclear facilities following ASME NQA-1 standardsAdvanced knowledge of commercial material availability and cost analysisProven ability to manage and lead large-scale projects effectivelyProficient in project setup, development of control-level schedules, progress reporting, and project closeoutPractical field experience across various projectsEPC project experience within the following industries: U.S. Department of Energy, other U.S. federal government agencies, nuclear facilities adhering to nuclear quality assurance programs, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnologyProficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs
Essential Functions:Serve as an Area Lead under the general supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer, providing guidance and supervision to engineers and designersAnalyze and independently recommend technical solutions for complex problems, ensuring alignment with project requirementsDevelop, review, and refine specifications and design criteriaPerform and verify engineering analyses and calculations; specify materials, equipment, and systems; and resolve advanced technical challengesCoordinate technical issues with cross-functional teams, including other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clientsEnsure all work is executed per the Project Quality Plan and established proceduresExecute tasks in line with approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselinesPrepare and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including effort-hour estimations and staff forecastingEstablish, track, and report on key material quantities, providing detailed analysis and forecastsOffer technical support for equipment and material procurement activities, including scope of work preparation, technical bid evaluations, and vendor submittal reviewsProvide technical expertise for construction administration, responding to construction requests for information (RFIs), and handling field changesPerform additional duties as assigned
