Summary:
Creates and designs commercial HVAC products and parts by utilizing schematics, drawings and creative 3-D modeling to enhance or refine existing and future brand product line and manufacturing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Generate solid models with SolidWorks based on input from engineers.Make production drawings using proper dimensioning.Generate parts numbers and bills of material.Make layouts utilizing SolidWorks and Autocad software.Replace missing or outdated product documentation with new SolidWorks drawings.Respond to Engineering Project Requests by releasing packages and finishing projects on schedule.Interface with manufacturing personnel to ensure design specifications are maintained and to eliminate waste and recommend design adjustments and improvements.Create and monitor status reports and charts utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.Successful applicants will interface with manufacturing personnel and, from time to time, outside vendors.

Must be able to creatively problem solve while using the materials and facts at hand. Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility to work on multiple projects and assignments is critical.
Education and/or ExperienceAssociates Degree from an accredited College in CAD, Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar discipline; and one to three years of hands-on SolidWorks experience is required.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word, MS PowerPoint Word Processing software.
