We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Construction Safety Specialist (PSA)
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, with a minimum of five (5) years dedicated exclusively to building construction safety. This role requires an individual with hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and documented continuing education in critical areas of construction safety.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards on all construction sites.Conduct safety audits and inspections focusing on fall protection, scaffolding, excavations, confined spaces, crane/equipment operations, electrical safety, and incident investigation.Develop and deliver safety training programs to site personnel.Maintain up-to-date records of safety training and certifications.Lead and participate in incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:A minimum of five (5) years dedicated solely to building construction safety.Practical knowledge, working experience, and documented continuing education in fall protection, scaffolding, excavations, confined spaces, crane/equipment operations, electrical safety, incident investigation, and other safety/health-related training. Training must be at least four (4) hours in duration per topic.Continuing education in noted training dated within five (5) years of the contract execution.Possession of a certificate of completion for OSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 502, dated within five (5) years of the contract execution.Current certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED, with certification dated within the last two (2) years.An OSHA 10/30 Construction Outreach or OSHA 510 certification alone will not meet this requirement.
