Are you a Senior Systems Engineer looking to step up into a Team Lead position?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider in Connecticut.
In this role where you will lead a team of 5, you will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems and infrastructure for a range of clients. You will leverage your technical expertise to enhance system performance, ensure security, and provide top-tier support.
Key Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure systems architecture.Manage and monitor client IT infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions.Develop and maintain documentation for systems configurations and processes.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.Strong expertise in server and network administration (Windows and Linux environments).Proficient in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.Solid understanding of security best practices and disaster recovery planning.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
We have a base salary up to $150,000 and a hybrid working schedule (3 days a week on-site).
