Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Are you a Senior Systems Engineer looking to step up into a Team Lead position?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider in Connecticut.

In this role where you will lead a team of 5, you will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT systems and infrastructure for a range of clients. You will leverage your technical expertise to enhance system performance, ensure security, and provide top-tier support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure systems architecture.
• Manage and monitor client IT infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems configurations and processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
• Strong expertise in server and network administration (Windows and Linux environments).
• Proficient in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

We have a base salary up to $150,000 and a hybrid working schedule (3 days a week on-site).
