Job Overview:

An Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports business operations. This role involves managing hardware, software, networks, and ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. The Infrastructure Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deploy and support infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and maintain system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, and virtualization.
  • Create scalable infrastructure solutions to support business operations and growth.
  • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Monitor and manage system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and performance of corporate networks.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and policies.
  • Generate reports on system performance, uptime, and resource usage.
  • Work closely with DevOps, software development, and security teams to support infrastructure requirements.
  • Participate in infrastructure planning and strategy discussions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Certifications: CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar - a nice to have
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to system optimization.
