Job Description:USPRO is seeking an Electronics Systems Designer to lead the design and development of electronic hardware, focusing on analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs (including ADCs/DACs) as well as power supply design for certified electronic engine controllers and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will engage at every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial concept discussions to design and development, prototype testing, and the final manufacturing and implementation of innovative products or systems. Collaboration will be key, as you will work within project teams alongside colleagues from various engineering disciplines.This role involves travel to Company locations up to 20% of the time, with an additional 15% for other travel.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement electronic circuit designs for control and monitoring systems.Create schematics and assist with PCB layout design.Conduct trade studies, tolerance analyses, and various simulations to enhance design precision and efficiency.Execute worst-case circuit calculations and analyses, including tolerance, stress, and FMEA evaluations.Create and refine electrical hardware products in the lab through testing, diagnosis, and inspection throughout the development lifecycle.Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing functional descriptions and design assurance testing results for certifying authorities.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with over 1 year of experience in Electronic Hardware Circuit Design, ORMaster’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, ORPhD in Electronics or Electrical EngineeringMust be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:Over 5 years of experience in circuit designFamiliarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) processesExtensive experience in Electronic Hardware DesignProficiency with schematic capture tools such as Allegro-Cadence or Altium DesignerExperience in Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving methodologiesKnowledge of power converters, filtering, protection, and EMI reduction techniquesAbility to analyze and translate high-level requirements into validated designs for electrical components.
