We have an exciting opportunity for a
Vegetable Prep Supervisor
to join our DO & CO Family within our Unit in New York.

Responsibilities:
Wash, peel, cut and prepare different vegetables in large quantities for further usage in the production kitchen.Prepare vegetables according to DO & CO’s and customers' instructions, following approved procedures and specifications.Store vegetables in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.Train and supervise workers in food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures.Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service are maintained.Monitor production usage and demand, adjust food production accordingly and prepare report to Executive Chef.Take and record the temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers.Weigh or measure ingredients and amounts.Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils Supervise and participate in kitchen cleaning activities at the end of the shift.Control inventories of food, equipment, small ware, and report shortages to Executive Chef.Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.
Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate proficient knife skills, relevant to the vegetable preparation area.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push as needed.Ability to work in a cold or hot environment.Ability to train and motivate team.Must have Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years of vegetable preparation experience where 2 of them as vegetable preparation lead.Familiar with different types of vegetable cutting styles.
