The
SAFETY MANAGER
is responsible for site safety. Accountable for the overall safety behaviors of the account. Operates the department in accordance with the approved Quality Assurance standards and Loss Prevention methods, while providing the Client with a safety first facility.

Pre-Job Safety Reviews (STAs)Review/Approve SDS for new chemicals for Facility Maintainance and Cleaning personnelWeekly safety meetings for all Facility personnelResponsible for Facility new hire safety trainingResponsible for Contractor Site Safety and cGMP trainingAccident investigation and reportingRisk AssessmentsNear Miss program - Use AZ Industry Safe systemAnnual completion of OSHA 300A FormNoise monitoring on as needed basisCertified vehicle trainer for Facility Maint. personnel operating industrial vehiclesTrack compliance of all Facility personnel for AZ and Facility online safety training programsReview all Industry Safe hazards daily for Facility Maint. involvementAssist AZ SHE with maintaining compliance with ESP and OSHA VPP programsReview of high-hazard tasks involving Facility personnel prior to start of tasksAir monitoring as needed for specific tasks

Chemical treatment of excess chemicals at on-site waste treatment facilityWastewater Operator License (Class A) for AZ on-site wastewater treatment facilityDOT/IATA certificationProvide monthly wastewater data to AZ SHE for DMR reporting to IDEMResponsible for scheduling and shipment of non-hazardous production waste thru Covanta and hazardous waste thru Clean Harbors for AZ SHE (AZ Contract)Responsible for weekly waste (hazardous and non-hazardous) consolidation activitiesMonthly reconciliation with AZ SHE of site sustainability numbersCoordinate universal waste program for AZ SHE (e-waste, lights, batteries, used oil)Asbestos/lead paint assessments via 3rd party lab on an as needed basis.Coordinate pickup schedule for AZ microbiological waste from microbiology labAssist AZ SHE with annual waste reporting for IDEM and USEPA for site
