Heavy Civil Superintendent

Job Opportunity:A construction contractor is looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent for projects in Houston, Texas. The role requires a strong background in civil construction and experience managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Manage on-site construction for heavy civil projects, ensuring adherence to plans and safety standards.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and resource plans.Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality.Lead and mentor construction teams, promoting teamwork and accountability.Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.Maintain project documentation, including daily reports and material records.Qualifications:10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods.Proven track record managing large infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, tunnels, etc.).Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.OSHA certification preferred.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred.Benefits:Competitive salary.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development and career growth opportunities.
