The Impact:The Sr. Director - IT Asset Management will oversee the lifecycle management of S&P Global IT assets, ensuring optimal utilization, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves developing strategies for asset acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align asset management with organizational goals.
This role will ensure the proper controls are in place for software and hardware asset management. The role requires an individual who can navigate a highly collaborative environment with complex challenges and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels while also ensuring we are looking strategically at our opportunities for continuous improvement.
This role will responsible for:Asset Lifecycle Management:
Managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition and deployment to maintenance and retirement.Inventory Management:
Maintaining accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses, to ensure optimal utilization.Cost Management:
Analyzing and controlling costs associated with IT assets, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal.Compliance and Governance:
Ensuring that IT asset management practices comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.Vendor Management:
Collaborating with vendors for procurement, service agreements, and performance evaluations.Risk Management:
Identifying and mitigating risks associated with asset management, such as compliance issues.Reporting and Analytics:
Providing insights and reports on asset performance, utilization, and financial impact to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities and Impact:Develop and implement IT asset management policies and procedures.Monitor and manage the inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management standards.Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize asset procurement and lifecycle costs.Analyze asset performance and usage data to inform decision-making.Lead a team of asset management professionals, providing guidance and support.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in IT asset management.
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,00 to $250,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

Basic Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferredMinimum of 10 years of experience in IT asset management or related roles.Strong knowledge of asset management tools and methodologies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective leadership and communication abilities.Ability to influence and develop strong partnerships with senior leaders across technology.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
CITAM certification, ITIL, CSAM or similar.Experience with software license management and compliance.Deep understanding of the technology industry.Experience driving technology strategy and enterprise architecture.Track record of collaboration and building relationships .Exceptional financial management skills.Skilled in preparing executive-level presentations and managing stakeholder relationships.Experience with digitization and automation of control processes.
