Role: IT Asset Management (ITAM) Head, Sr. Director
The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Sr. Director is responsible for the daily and long-term operational management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. The ITAM Director manages, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the ITAM Director contributes to the designs, development, and implementation of the organization's asset management strategy. Manages the maintenance of tools containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software to ensure compliance with vendor contracts. Contributes to the minimization of organizational costs through product standardization and tracking. The lead will support the partnership with the finance and procurement teams and assist procurement with defined strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. The ITAM Director will also assist in the development and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees lifecycle asset management tasks, projects, activities and engagements for the programServes as an IT asset management subject matter expertExtensive experience with software management and desktop remediationWorks with leadership to develop and enhance lifecycle asset management strategy, company policies and processes that align with the programs and customer's business objectivesAnalyzes new and complex lifecycle asset management-related problems and creates innovative solutions that address schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial managementContributes to the planning and implements IT hardware/software asset life cycle strategyManages tracking of acquisition, deployment, utilization, security, and final disposition of IT assetsSupports ITAM systems analysis as well as provides subject matter expertise for long and short-range plans for lifecycle asset management related application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activitiesAssists in the development of and implements effective procedures and processes for accurately tracking and accounting for IT assets through the asset lifecycleSupports optimization, usage and cost of IT hardware & Software deploymentsContributes to the development of processes and procedures to continually enhance IT asset data integrity and complianceDrives process improvements with Lifecycle Asset Management best practices and automationManages a team of ITAM product owners and analystsDevelops and presents IT Asset Management metrics, visualizations and reports to leadershipMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedParticipates in special projects as requiredQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field is required, as is 7-10 years direct experience in IT Asset ManagementMust have experience with asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, SNOW, etc.)Must have professional certification (e.g., CHAMP, CITAM).ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferredExperience in IT procurement and Project Management are a plusMust be a problem solver and innovator.Must possess strong computer skills - expert in Power BI to analyze large volumes of data.Experience with statistical analysis software a plusFluent English verbal and written communication skillsAbility follow process and demonstrate high degree of accuracy/qualityStrong interpersonal skills required; leadership skills desirable.Ability to demonstrate cross-cultural effectiveness and capability of driving change.Ability to see structure and bring order to undefined (or poorly defined) processes, as well as develop and implement processes, are a necessityMust be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated (personal initiative).Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be able to handle pressure. Prefer candidates with demonstrated experience in analyzing and presenting data to management.
