Overview:National Wire is looking for a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team. As an Industrial Engineer, you'll be involved in the conception, design, development, and installation of new products or production lines. Your main focus will be on enhancing production processes to increase cost-effectiveness and efficiency over time. You'll also play a key role in resolving technical issues and selecting precision tools for various machines.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.Analyze and report on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.Ensure that the organization’s manufacturing processes comply with relevant policies, government laws, and regulations.Review and calculate the costs of tools and equipment in the production process and predict future production overheads.Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment placement to maximize manufacturing efficiency.Coordinate maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.Ensure staff follow manufacturer’s procedures and instructions while operating equipment.Oversee the work of technicians and floor personnel.Establish an effective work sequence.Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the department's objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5SExcellent information technology skills in specific software packages, including computer-aided modeling and design software.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.Knowledge of engineering science.Strong working experience with SAP, CAD CAM, CATIA, Microsoft Office suites.
