Are you an experienced Trading Systems Engineer with a passion for maintaining and enhancing high-performance trading infrastructure? This role offers the opportunity to join a leading trading firm in New York, working in a dynamic environment alongside developers, quants, and traders to ensure optimal performance of proprietary trading systems. You’ll be at the heart of operational support, troubleshooting, and automation, supporting critical trading activities across multiple asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
•Proactively support production trading systems across asset classes and global locations, ensuring smooth operations in a multi-platform environment (primarily Linux with some Windows)•Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues, minimising downtime and supporting real-time trading activity•Deploy and manage new trading strategies, developing operational procedures to ensure consistency and streamline processes•Design, document, and maintain efficient processes for production support, software deployment, and proactive monitoring to anticipate and mitigate potential issues•Develop and enhance proprietary automation tools, monitoring systems, and configuration procedures•Manage market connectivity and provide technical support for exchange-related issues•Collaborate with global teams, providing support to developers, quants, and end-users, while building and maintaining comprehensive documentation for consistency across 24x7 support
Key Requirements
•3+ years of experience in a technical operations, DevOps, or trading support role, ideally in a high-performance or real-time trading environment•Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments, including strong shell scripting skills and advanced troubleshooting abilities•Extensive experience in Python for scripting and automation, with knowledge of SQL•Familiarity with FIX protocol and other exchange protocols, and experience in managing market connectivity•Experience supporting electronic trading systems and trading desks on both Linux and Windows platforms•Self-driven, with a commitment to continual improvement and a proactive approach to problem-solving
