This is an opportunity for a talented and self-motivated engineer to work with a growing international company expanding into the US market.

We are looking for a passionate and technically talented individual to work in a fast-paced environment whilst putting their talents to work in a broad technical role. The successful candidate will be part of our global Infrastructure and Technology Service team and based in Chicago. You will be the sole administrator, in a multifaceted role, responsible for the upkeep of our trading IT systems, infrastructure, facilities, supporting the end to end trading application and DevOps stack and providing direct trading application support to the Chicago based trading team.

ResponsibilitiesProvide direct trading support to the Chicago tradersAdministration and support of mission critical trading systems and infrastructure in a distributed environmentSystems administration of Windows and Linux servers and PC's, networking devices and IT hardwareWork closely with global teams on IT related project and supportProject work on improving existing systems, processes and automationAssisting Traders and Developers with their technical requestsLiaising with external IT vendors and managing their internal tasksEnsure that IT policies and procedures are being monitored and adhered toWhat you offer

5+ years Application trading support experience3+ years administering a RHEL/Fedora environment with automation experience3+ years supporting Windows PC's and Linux serversInformation Technology related Bachelor's degreeBroad systems administration experience with key technologies such as: Cisco routers, VMWare, vServer, saltstack, HPEIndependent problem-solving, self-direction, highly motivated and strong initiativeAbility to meet commitments and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast paced environmentExperience supporting production trading environment, preferably across multiple data centersStrong knowledge of basic networking protocols, TCP/IP, UDP, OSI model Layer 1 - 2 and 3Strong scripting and automation skills. Python preferredExcellent command of spoken and written EnglishKnowledge of equity derivatives highly favouredFirewall or access control lists experience is a plusApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisWhat we offer
