Job Summary:Alpha Tool & Mold, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and experienced CNC Machinists to join our team. We are a tool and die manufacturing company dealing mainly with precision machining work as well as plastic, wax, and ceramic core dies . You will be milling low volume precision parts for tool and die manufacturing. Candidates need to demonstrate an ability to meet job requirements, problem solve, and work cooperatively with other team members. The ability to manually G-code program to produce parts to print is also desired.
No Production Machinists, this is low volume precision machining environment.
Responsibilities:Setup jobs on CNC milling machines, preset tool per setup sheet, load programs, machine part, and probe check for prototype and low volume precision parts.Operates and monitors machine operations which may include tool changing, offsetting, and adjustments to meet specifications.Program G - Code at machines for manufacturing.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, geometric tolerances, and technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.Verifies that fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling, boring sizes, depths, angles and other specifications.
Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist dealing with prototype / low volume precision parts.Experience in the tool and die industry dealing mainly with injection molds. (Preferred)Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials.Knowledge of G-code programming.
