Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utilities Project Manager to lead large-scale facility upgrade projects at our pharmaceutical plant in Wilson, NC. The site includes an Energy Center, Packaging Operations, and Lab. This support position will focus on implementation of the Site Energy Management Program, investigating and correcting utility system excursions, leading plant engineering improvement projects, and execution of productivity enhancement initiatives.Responsibilities:Lead in the identification and implementation of process improvement projects, productivity initiatives and corrective actions while focusing on equipment uptime, minimizing cost and maintaining process consistency.Investigate deviations (both minor and major), with responsibility to interface with Operations, Automation, and Quality approvers.Author and manage the investigations to meet key timing commitments with well-investigated and well-documented deviation reports.Work with the Operations, Technology, Automation, and Quality Approvers to determine the scope of the investigation, identify the appropriate root cause, implement corrective actions, complete trending analysis, and determine product disposition.Provide key subject matter expert (SME) role for utility and facility systems and associated deviations during internal and external inspections / audits.Perform a thorough review of engineering records and related current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner, and implementing corrective actions to improve the execution/review process.Develop training material. Working as a SME, provide necessary training for system maintenance.Work alongside Operations, Technology, Automation, and Quality team members to develop reliable, consistent manufacturing processes that meet cGMP requirements.Support implementation of Site Energy Management ProgramIdentify, analyze, coordinate, and consult on sustainability and environmental projects that focus on reducing environmental impact.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect sustainability information and support documentation related to company sustainability projects and strategies.Support the completion of the annual sustainability reports, associated external rankings and surveys, and sustainability-focused responses to internal stakeholders.Develop templates, standardized reports, and scorecards for management purposes, and for external and internal reporting.Build subject matter expertise in material sustainability topics and share information on emerging issues and trends in sustainability.Support cross-departmental teams implementing sustainability and renewable energy projects.Identify, benchmark, and implement environmental best practices.Research sustainability solutions that complement company priorities.
