PositionSapphos Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Cultural Resources Manager to oversee a team of archaeologists, historians, and architectural historians. Candidates will have a proven track record of accomplishment in CEQA and/or NEPA compliance, management, document review, project management, technical writing, and business development.
Core Duties:Maintain knowledge of primary environmental statutes and regulationsReview CEQA and NEPA documents, business correspondence, memoranda, and various other reportsManage project managers and ensure successful project completionSecure and maintain business relationships with clientsTrain and lead a group of cultural resources professionals
Position RequirementsExpertise in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation ActMeet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Archaeology, History, and/or Architectural HistoryQualified under Caltrans (and other agencies) as Principal Investigator for Archaeology and/or Architectural HistoryPrevious management experience in a consulting environmentExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skillsMust demonstrate the ability to attract and retain clients, and lead marketing pursuits
EducationGraduate degree in History, Architectural History, Archaeology or other closely related field and 12+ or more years of relevant experience.
CompensationThe salary range for this position will vary depending on level of education and experience.
