Locums - Pasadena, Texas, Emergency Medicine Opening

ASAP Duration: Until August 2025 Shift times: 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a, 9p-7a - (Main) 7a-7p, 7p-7a (FSED) No Call, just ED Shifts Standard ED Shifts Expectations for Orientation: 2 full shadow shifts or 1 if previous HCA and Meditech experience Approximately 30 ED treatment spaces Census: 115/day at main, 70/day at FSED Daily Admissions: 25% admission rate at main, 5% at FSED Consults: All specialties consistent with a level 3 trauma center are available, OB is available, in-house intensivist and hospitalist service Patient Population: Urban, middle class Moderate-High acuity and complex pathology. Physicians do not see low acuity at main ED Support Staff: Adequate nurses, techs, paramedics and security Procedures required: Intubation, central line, chest tube, conscious sedation, fracture reduction, laceration repair are most common. All typical ED procedures Physicians on staff: 4 physicians per day at main ED, 2 at FSED. 2 APPs per day at all sites BC - ABEM Required, will consider IM/FP with 3+ years or ED Experience (full time) BC - EM Residency Trained
