Maintenance Manager

Florida largest manufacturer of chemical water treatment are looking to hire a Maintenance Manager in Miami. This position performs routine and preventative maintenance throughout the plant facility. This position is also responsible for directly supervising members of the maintenance team.Must be bilingual English/SpanishMust have strong leadership experienceMust have been a Maintenance Manager in a Manufacturing Plant or Chemical PlantMust have strong Project Management experienceReports to Plant Manager
Knowledge of welding practices, mechanical skills (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) and familiar with painting of different objects including but not limited to walls and tankers.
Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
Administrative- Being able to manage paperwork and facilitate communication with plant employees and corporate offices.
Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
Managing People - Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities; Provides regular performance feedback; Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); Continually works to improve supervisory skills.
Professionalism - Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to read and understand data sheets. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Strong written and oral communication in English; bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Computer Skills – Have knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Gmail, etc.) or other office software to complete administrative tasks.Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
-Maintain air compressors, air dryers, chlorine & acid scrubbers, and drench units.
-Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches;
-Inspection of portable ladders, grinders, fire extinguishers, chemical transfer hoses etc.
-Interact with contractors.
-Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
-Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
-Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures and work orders.
-May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
-Assist engineers with Quarterly Engineering Inspections.
-Assist fleet diesel mechanic as needed
-Work with engineers to update the P&IDs as needed.
-Coordinate all repairs with Plant or Branch Manager.
-Perform other duties as directed by management.
