Innovation Technology Manager

JOB SUMMARYThe role is responsible for supporting and launching technology-driven projects within the Guest Experience & Innovation Team. This involves a strong analytical approach to tracking and monitoring budgets, orders, and projects. The role requires close collaboration with various teams and vendors to implement new initiatives and support existing solutions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOversee newbuild projects related to Innovation Technology, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management plans, aimed at enhancing the overall Guest Journey.Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams, including IT, Digital, Hotel Operations, Marine & Technical Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Design Consultants, and Construction teams.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.Develop and maintain project timelines/schedules, utilizing CPM methodologies to identify critical paths and establish key milestones for progress tracking.Oversee the execution of upgrades and replacements for Innovation Technology during refurbishments.Stay current with competitor analysis and future trends within the industry.Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSDEGREE TYPE:
Bachelor's DegreeFIELD(S) OF STUDY:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, or related field of study. Master's degree is preferred.EXPERIENCEMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Cruise, Theme Park or Hospitality experience/background a plus.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLSHighly self-motivated with strong project management skills and results-oriented.Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high-quality outputs.Ability to translate requirements into quality solutions.Excellent interpersonal skills.Use sound business judgment in coordinating projects.Conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques are required.Strong in presentation, facilitation, and communication.Technical knowledge and expertise are a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Monday.com, and Smartsheets is preferred.Analytical, influencing, facilitating, teambuilding, strategic thinking, and process-driven skills.Ability to provide after-hours support.Requires up to 30% international non-shipboard and shipboard travel, including new build and dry dock environments.
