Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will oversee HR functions including associate relations, development, talent management, benefits, and payroll. They'll collaborate with leaders to empower team members, ensure compliance, and use data for strategic decisions. They'll also deliver HR strategies, improve KPIs and employer branding, review policies, conduct exit interviews, support department managers, use HR technology, and lead a team to drive our company's success.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Employee relations and engagement:
Assist with the Development and maintenance of strong associate relations, organizational and employee development, talent management, benefits and wellness, and payroll functions. Act as a trusted advisor directly involved in all areas of Human Resources, delivering exceptional services and support, recruiting, growing, and retaining the best employees. Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters and build trust. Maintain the recruitment strategy, continuously improve KPIs such as retention rates, time to fill, and costs, and improve employer branding. Plan, organize, and execute company events including but not limited to employee benefits fair, insurance meetings, open enrollment, etc.
Leadership
Lead a team of Human Resource employees, mentoring, coaching, and developing team members for future succession. Work with leaders to empower team members to take ownership of their work and contribute to the department's goals.
Policy and Procedure Improvement
Review and make recommendations to Management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters. Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. Communicate changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensure that proper compliance is followed. Deliver HR strategies and practices in response to ever-changing needs. Confirm compliance with all HR processes including administration, pre-employment process, new hire orientations, training programs. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure the organization's compliance.
HR Technology and Data Management
Leverage the human resource information system (HRIS) and other technology/tools to manage teams and leverage data. Leverage data to make informed and strategic decisions, partnering with department leaders to share data, analysis, and insights. Coordinate and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and offer suggestions to reduce turnover in the future based on trends and data.
Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required, master's degree preferred, in Human Resources or directly related field.
PHR/SPHR and/or SHM-CP/SCP preferred.
10+ years of HR with AR experience.
7+ years in a leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills.
Must be tactical and strategic; willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
An influential communicator who can build strong team bonds and generate commitment and enthusiasm in the workplace.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Experience in researching, learning, and owning new technologies.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Focus on outstanding customer service and building relationships with internal and external customers.
Well organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet departmental goals in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment with a focus on customer service.
