Position Summary
As the Director of Social Media, your primary role will be to grow and develop brands through innovative social media strategies. You’ll be responsible for setting clear goals, building effective content strategies, and leading a talented team. You will oversee the work of Social Media Managers and a Senior Social Media Strategist, ensuring they successfully grow our clients’ social presence through community management, content creation, and influencer marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and confidently present social strategies and campaigns to clients.
Create measurement plans that demonstrate the effectiveness of social media efforts in meeting client goals.
Stay current with social platform trends, AI, VR/AR innovations, and more, providing expert insights to clients and teams.
Lead and establish an influencer marketing practice, including strategy development, influencer identification, content management, and third-party relationships.
Partner with creative teams and clients to develop engaging content.
Oversee social media calendars, campaigns, and community management initiatives.
Provide strategic leadership to the social media team, ensuring strong campaign execution and performance.
Monitor key campaign metrics, helping the team leverage data to tell compelling stories.
Offer insightful reporting and campaign recaps to clients and agency partners.
Foster a culture of innovation and encourage new ideas that push boundaries.
Assist in hiring and onboarding new social media team members.
Lead efforts to pitch and secure new business opportunities.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
10+ years of social media experience within an agency or brand.
4+ years of experience managing teams.
Proven experience in developing social strategies and managing campaigns across multiple platforms.
Hands-on experience with social management, listening, and research tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Hootsuite).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools.

You have a deep understanding of all forms of social media—both established and emerging platforms.

Work Environment
We are committed to providing flexible work environments that fit our team members’ lifestyles. Our team operates remotely or in a hybrid model, with offices in Charleston, SC, and Nashville, TN. While remote work is available, all team members must work within Eastern or Central time zones to best support our clients’ evolving campaigns.
