Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.
Handle creditors' rights matters, including debt collection, enforcement of judgments, and foreclosure actions.
Draft and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
Conduct legal research and provide comprehensive analyses on bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues.
Collaborate with clients and team members to develop and execute legal strategies.
Manage and execute discovery processes, including gathering and reviewing evidence.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
Provide exceptional client service and maintain professional relationships.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in bankruptcy and creditors' rights law.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively on a team and manage multiple cases.
Clerkship and/or prior law firm experience preferred.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction’s Bar (e.g., Maryland Bar).
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to and in good standing with the Maryland Bar (or the relevant jurisdiction’s Bar).
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of bankruptcy law and creditors' rights.
Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
