We are seeking a dedicated and innovative ServiceNow Developer to join the NIRA project team, a key initiative in the FDA's digital transformation journey. This role is crucial for developing and implementing information dashboard and process automation solutions that align with the FDA IT Strategy's objectives, including enhancing collaboration, strengthening infrastructure, and modernizing services.
This is a
full-time, remote or hybrid
position (if you are local to the DC area, you are welcome to work from NIRA HQ in Washington, DC). Applicants must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Development:
Follow an agile software development methodology for planning, implementing, and delivering ServiceNow capabilities.
Implement the full software development life cycle to support the deployment of custom applications on the ServiceNow platform. Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules.
Provide ServiceNow integration support with external systems and data sources.
Workflow and Scripting:
Create and manage workflows, business rules, and scripts.
Configure application User Interface (UI) and define data tables, user interfaces, and APIs in ServiceNow applications.
Customer Engagement:
Support engagement with business users to understand and document current and future business processes.
Provide technical expertise on all technical questions related to assigned development on the ServiceNow platform.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card Holder) required. Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance
3+ years of ServiceNow development experience
5+ years of platform development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java or other programming language
Ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Additional Desired Qualifications:
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
Experience developing custom reports using business intelligence tools
Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and experience integrating solutions within complex IT infrastructures
Understanding of Business Process Management System (BPMS) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
