Position Overview:The Learning and Development Senior Specialist works with the Learning & Development team to design and maintain curriculum, ensuring that existing and future training content directly supports global workforce learning needs. This position collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) from business lines, support divisions, and around the world to assess learning needs, design and implement content, and review learning outcomes. Focusing on human-centered design and translating business needs into scalable learning initiatives, the Sr. Specialist helps SMEs integrate e-learning into training initiatives to reach corporate and global staff, bolster learning objectives and evaluation, manage programmatic success across a breadth of learning initiatives, and facilitate learning sessions as needed. Responsibilities:Manages planning, maintenance, development, and implementation of our enterprise curricula, using best practices in adult learning and technical expertise in learning management.With the director and advisor, develops overall strategy for developing, adjusting, and disseminating training programs to a global audience, including the management of newsletters and other communications.Through e-learning software such as Vyond, Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Illustrator, leads, designs and develops independent and integrated e-learning modules to allow increased reach and availability of materials for a remote or global workforce.Leads meetings with subject matter experts to help identify and prioritize new training content pipeline.Manages relationships with relevant SMEs around all aspects of the learning program including needs identification, training content design and development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as informal learning and knowledge sharing.Supports overall training project plan including timeline and coordination of training content.In collaboration with director and advisor, sets processes, structure, and resources for virtual and in-person instructor-led training including instructor support and preparation.Builds and maintains personal technical knowledge in adult learning, instructional design, instructional technology, and training delivery by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Designs and delivers team development sessions and mentors junior department staff in designing and delivering these sessions.Supports the day-to-day management of the learning IT systems.Utilizes the Performance Learning Management System and other learning platforms to support e-learning and virtual or in-person instructor-led training activity planning and implementation.Actively participates in new business activities, including proposal teams, in increasingly difficult roles and providing technical input related to training and development proposal efforts.If appropriate, supervises direct report, delegating and managing workload while supporting their professional development.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements:Minimum 5 years of technically relevant work experience required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, Master's degree or equivalent work experience in relevant field preferred.Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.Knowledge and experience with e-learning design and implementation.Experience supporting the implementation of broad scale training programs required; experience with asynchronous delivery preferred.Knowledge/awareness of best practices in adult learning, blended training program design and management in developing country contexts preferred.Supervisory experience preferred.Ability to think creatively and contribute to the team's overall vision of a globally accessible training platform.Flexibility and an ability to adjust to changing priorities and targets preferred.Willingness to adapt to the changing needs and pressures of the team with composure and ingenuity.Ability to liaise with global stakeholders across the company from all levels, executive to entry-level.Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience managing workflow with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple partners and evolving priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
