Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive occupational therapy services to the patient by assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting patient care and treatment programs. The therapist participates in varied Rehabilitation Services department activities designed to enhance patient care and programs. A Occupational Therapist II demonstrates advanced evaluation and treatment skills and is involved in program development, staff education, student supervision. Also demonstrates emerging leadership skills and mentors department staff. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of two years of clinical Therapist experience meeting requirements of Level I responsibilities as determined by interview and assessment
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelors or Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Must be proficient at all OT level 1 competencies, maintain productivity level, demonstrates optimal customer service performance, and have the potential to take on additional responsibilities. May require clinical expertise in specific discipline.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
WI state license as an Occupational Therapist is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 3 months of hire.
